Shield of Fellowship of Churches, Incorporated
Because the Lord has given us specific direction, we have embraced the corporate goal of partnering in establishing and nurturing hundreds of churches to provide direction for the churches and pastors in these critical days. In pursuit of these objectives we recognize the following terms and conditions as necessary, and purpose that any pastor or church willing to agree with these conditions will benefit greatly from the blessings that God is providing through this worldwide ministry.
Pastoral Oversight
Willingness to operate under principles of biblical accountability in relationship with Dr. Henry B. Alexander and the Elders’ Council of the Shield of Faith Fellowship. Willingness to receive instruction and pastoral direction from the leadership of this corporate ministry.
Financial Support
Willingness to contribute to the financial welfare of the Shield of Faith Fellowship through various means as led by the Lord.
Devotional Life
Willingness to concisely maintain a prayer life and devotional habits so that, in spite of busy schedules and the demands of ministry each pastor will strive to be alone with GOD at least on one hour per day on a regular and consistent basis.
Educational Development
Willingness to participate in ongoing ministerial and biblical training, and specifically to draw upon the resources of the Living Word Bible College (which is a part of the Fellowship) as needed
Doctrinal Soundness
An absolute and total commitment to preach and teach biblical truth as revealed in scripture by the Holy Ghosts,And as mutually understood by the Elders’ Council of Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches Inc.
Elders’ Council Participation
Willingness to be a participant in the Shield of Faith Elders’ Council by attending Elders’ meetings, Fellowship events and joint services whenever possible.
Church Planting
Willingness to seek aggressively for the propagation of biblical truth through the planting of new church congregations whenever possible.
Receiving Corrections
Willingness to receive correction and confrontation when any scriptural error is detected, and to humbly take corrective action when needed in the context of preaching and teaching.
Personal Deportment
Willingness to be accountable to the Elders’ Council concerning the lifestyle of personal holiness and deportment within and without the pulpit, before the saints and the world.
Order in Family Life
Willingness to provide Godly excellence in all facts of pastoral and ministerial work, with an eagerness to obtain and obey the direction of God in all matters of ministry and personal spiritual growth. Willingness also to submit periodic reports of progress, with projections about the future of the ministry. Willingness to coordinate our efforts and calendars and to cooperate in mutual support of one another when possible.
Business Practices
Willingness to conduct all church and personal business in a manner that is above approach, with all business and financial matters well-documented and carefully organized and maintained in accordance with ecclesiastical and government regulating agencies.
